PEX TUBING FOR HOME PLUMBING

The current (June/July) issue of Mother Earth News has an article on using PEX tubing for home plumbing use. It’s best known in North America for it’s use in hydronic heating systems, but it’s been successfully used for over 30 years in Europe for all aspects of plumbing. PEX has many benefits over traditional copper tubing, including ease of installation and fewer connectors required compared to copper pipe. The PEX tubing can be bent with as little as a 3″ radius without kinking, making elbow connectors unnecessary.
